Gun violence has been increasing at an alarming rate in almost every major city in the United States. Law Enforcement is overwhelmed with the number of cases they are charged with investigating.

School systems and parents alike are desperate to keep kids safe amongst the rising threat of gun violence in schools. Not only does our presence detect firearms before they can be used, we are also an outstanding deterrent to prevent kids from bringing guns to school in the first place.

Child pornography and child sexual exploitation is an ongoing and terrible issue in the US. This explicit and incriminating content can be stored on a wide variety of devices ranging from computers and iPads to micro SD cards that can be hidden throughout an entire house.

Child pornographers get creative in an effort to hide incriminating content. During an investigation a router or IP address shows a specific number of devices that may have been used to access the internet. One or two of those devices may be missing after the initial search of a residence or office. A ESDD can be used to detect these hidden items.

Our Electronic Storage Device Detection Canines are trained and certified through California Narcotic Canine Association to locate and alert on a variety of electronic storage devices. We can now help to expedite finding those smaller items that may have been missed during an initial search.

TRACKING SERVICES

Search, Locate, Report & Coordinate

When a child or mentally challenged adult disappears from a care facility, time is of the essence. For both the person’s safety and the effectiveness of the tracking team, a prompt response can mean the difference between success or failure, life and death. The increased demands, decommissioning and defunding of our local Law Enforcement has led to increased response times for missing persons. Our 5 certified tracking and trailing K9’s are ready and available immediately after an individual’s disappearance, dramatically increasing the chance of success. Each of our tracking team’s handlers are DPSST licensed by the state of Oregon and are certified in both heavy urban and wilderness environments.

Provided the subject is found well, we take a hands off, no touch policy in our Search, Locate, Report and Coordinate methodology. Our teams are well versed, and trained in conflict de-escalation and negotiation techniques – we will never attempt to detain or force compliance from the subject. We are more than happy to strategize with your administration on how to best navigate these very complex and emotionally charged situations, our single primary goal is the safety and welfare of the missing person. Once located, and is compliant, Charon K9 Solutions can provide the safe escort and transportation back to your predetermined facility.

Charon K9 will facilitate and assist in both the collection and safe, sterile storage of the scent kits / Scent articles we will use in the event of a subject’s run away. Our K9’s will utilize scent articles which smell like the individual who they are tracking. While in some cases a scent article is readily available (like a pillow case the person has been sleeping on or an article of clothing recently worn), we take additional proactive measures in scent article collection so we are never left without an article to work with. Our scent kits are cased in hard, stackable and labeled containers, housing 3 vacuum sealed scent articles collected BEFORE the individual has gone missing.
